PG Dip in Hospitality management, PGDCA ( PhD ), Research Scholar, Acharya Nagarjuna University Kolliparaswaruparani@yahoo.com INTRODUCTION :- Any new business in the form of Partnership, Sole proprietorship, or a any Company form of business organization, which search for a scalable business model can be named as a ------ “STARTUP”. In simple to say --- Any idea which --- transfigure and manifest into commercial or business undertaking can be referred to as STARTUP. In other words to say--- “Start-up is a temporary status or term for an organization--- whose vital objective is to launch a new business model or open up a new market. A startup venture can be defined as--- a new business that is in the initial stages of operation, beginning to grow and is typically financed by an individual or small group of individuals. It is a young entrepreneurial, scalable business model built on technology and innovation wherein the founders develop a product or service for which they foresee demand through disruption of existing or by creating entirely new markets. Startups are nothing but an idea that manifests into a commercial undertaking India is one among the the most favorable places for startups . It is said cities like by Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kerala and New Delhi are notoriously known cities for startups in India. It is believed that the startup boom in India is a revolution and will completely change the way--- the business is done in the country. The Government of India announced Startup India which is a flagship initiative to build startups and nurture innovation. Through this initiative, the Government plans to empower startup ventures to boost entrepreneurship, economic growth and employment across India. India‟s startup eco-system has become a talking point for the entire world. With hundreds of innovative youngsters choosing to pursue the path of entrepreneurship instead of joining the multinational corporations and government ventures, the business world has witnessed an explosion of ground-breaking startups providing solutions to the real problems at a mass level in the past years. Startups are not only solving the issues which consumers face in their daily lives but are also seen as a possible solution to the unemployment problems faced by the country.
